HRT patches

Hello, I’m hoping someone may have dealt with this themselves and have some pearls of wisdom to share.

I’m 48 and have entered treatment in peri menopause and use HRT patches for both oestrogen and progesterone. These have to be placed below waist. On my first day of treatment yesterday the radiologists told me I can’t have them in the line of fire and will need to place them elsewhere. I’ve gone for lower down on my thigh but I don’t know if that will affect absorption as it’s less fatty tissue. Normally I have them on my bottom or tummy. The radiologists have referred this back to my consultant for guidance but I wondered if anyone else experienced this during their treatment and how they got round it?? I don’t want to stop HRT and add that to the mix especially as I assume I will shortly go into full menopause (although quite grateful to now get that over and done with tbh!)

TIA
