Hello All, I am five weeks post treatment, which I found bearable!!! Skin has healed, if a little pink/darker in spots and all was well until I seem to have developed itchy hive like.spots on the edge of the treatment area! Has anyone else had this? It is driving me crazy at night. I am taking antihistamine, tried QV, Flamigel and othera but still itchy. Will it ever end?!?!?

Hi willow
yes i had itchy skin it does get better in time I still get episodes of it which drives me mad I just wash with cool water seems to take it away or I use instagel or lidocaine cream to numb the area to give relief.
im 8 months post treatment and still have issues with sore skin itching and fissures.
i hope you recover well.
Hello Willow26
You have had some really good suggestions, I hope that one of these works. The only thing worse than itching is itching in bed at night, you have my sympathy!
So pleased that you are doing well.

Hi Willow26 , you’re doing everything right, I would try going down the nappy rash cream route, bepanthen, sudocrem etc., my colorectal surgeon said that the new skin that forms following this treatment is like baby skin, mine was quite rashy pretty often & this still happens from time to time, sudocrem always helps.
I hope you find something that offers you some relief soon.
Nicola
Squeak. You are my hero!!!!!! Bepanthen has fixed it! No itch, no rash and more sleep. HUGE thanks. I used it on my children so my Husband also finds this hilarious and says "Ceem on!" - like we used to say to our babies. A little bit of joy on this journey....x
