Started treatment yesterday, Chemo nurse said not to start sickness tablets unless I felt sick. What did everyone else do ? Thank you
Hi Flowerpot26
I think that’s the usual advice, I was told the same and didn’t feel nauseous so apart from the compulsory one with the IV Chemo I didn’t take any.
Well done on starting treatment and hope all goes well
Monty xx
I take the compulsory one that they give me pre-infusion but have never yet had to take any others as I’ve not felt sick at all.
Hello Flowerpot26
I hope that your first day went well - and I am afraid to say this is one aspect of treatment that I honestly can't remember. I keep searching my recollections, and I remember the huge tablets (which amazingly I managed to get down) but I just can't recall other medication.
So take that as a no! If you are feeling well, I wouldn't take them.
Big hug

As always Irene, thank you for your reply and kind words.
Big hugs
Hi Flowerpot26 ,
I was given an anti-sickness tablet prior to my infusion of mitomycin on day 1 of treatment & was told to take them each day following that, I found I was completely fine, I had a little touch of nausea on day 2-3 following that infusion & a couple of mouth ulcers popped up but after that I was perfectly fine, I continued with those first lot of ant-sickness but didn’t renew my prescription after that.
