Hi everyone of you lovely ladies.
As promised a little follow up. My 3 month scan showed some cancer left and my 6 month scan has shown no changes since 3 month.
My oncologist said there is a possibility that it could be scar tissue but she awaits the MDT team to look at my scans and decide what the next steps are she thinks it will be PET scan or EUA or both.
I said shall I prepare myself for APR she said I was jumping a little ahead of myself. Obviously I am gutted as once again the anxious wait but we have to ride it out.
Love and light to everyone xxx
Hello Edjo
I am really sorry that they haven't seen the changes that they had hoped for. However, until it is confirmed one way or the other your oncologist is right - hold fire until you have all the investigations. I know that it is easy for me to talk, there was someone on the forum fairly recently whose three and six month scans didn't look clear (I am really sorry, I just can't remember who it was) but I am hoping that they pick up on your post.
In the meantime I will be keeping everything crossed. Please let us know what happens next.
Big hug
Irene xx
Thank you so much for replying Irene and your kind words.
Such a worrying time x
Hi Edjo ,
I’m sorry to hear that your 6 month scans didn’t bring better news for you. It’s understandable that you’ve jumped to the conclusion that this would mean APR surgery, I think many of us would be the same but we’ve also had many members here that have undergone EUA’s following those 6 month scans & it has indeed turned out to be scar tissue so hang on in there. I’m keeping everything crossed that this will be the case for you also. Thinking of you.
Nicola
Thank you so so much Nicola.
On a positive note I feel bloody amazing. I had gained 6lb from 3 months ago so im now back at my pre diagnosis weight. Im back to doing everything I was before treatment. I've been very lucky with side effects and just feel great. I'm hoping and praying its scare tissue.
Thank you and everyone else on this forum for your kindness and support its been such a godsend - thank God I found it.
Jo xxxx
