feels really good to have started treatment now.
So far no pain just the usual discomfort levels I've gotten use to, but things down below are starting to feel different if that makes sense.
Worse thing so far is chronic episodes of wind since Thursday afternoon.
Looking forward to a weekend off now and wishing everyone a good one.
Cheers for now

Hi Sinbad
Great news to hear week one has gone well.
I have just finished week 2 and I also felt changes during week 1.
Less pressure in my backside and a small lump that developed after diagnosis has disappeared. I am hoping these are good signs and the treatment is working.
I get my chemo on a Wednesday by IV and by Thursday my stoma bag turns into a wind sock. Not food related, so putting it down to the chemo. It settles by Saturday afternoon thank goodness.
I drink a lot of peppermint and ginger tea to help my nausea and keep hydrated....might help with wind.
Wishing you a lovely restful weekend.
Ally xx
Hi Ally,
Congratulations on completing week two. You’re getting there. Good that you’ve experienced some improvement ( other than the wind sock..).
Keep crossing those days off and hope you are able to rest up over the weekend with some respite from your big daily trek.
Wishing you well xx
Hello Sinbad
It really is a relief when treatment starts, even though it can be taxing it is a means to an end - this treatment has a very high success rate and that is what you have to focus on if things get tough. You have had some good hints about coping with the wind episodes. I had wind too but eventually it did pass.
Have a lovely weekend off relaxing!

Thank you PEB24.
A thousand miles on country roads is playing havoc with my hips and buttocks, but my new cushion has arrived!
Can't wait to test it out on Monday.
Bit of pottering in the morning then some rest in the afternoon seems to work at the moment.
Have a lovely weekend too.
Ally xx
