Hi,
I posted a few days ago, I wonder if anyone has gone through ileo anal pouch cancer and treatment?
I would love to hear from you as I am so rare that the specialists at Addenbrookes are not sure what to do regarding a treatment plan.
it has been good to be able to read your posts and get an understanding of what I may be facing soon xx
Hi @Sozza,that does sound like quite a rare situation. I can't recall seeing any posts in this group about these issues. I know it's not entirely on point but I wonder if someone in the bowel and rectum cancer group may have had a similar experience. You could try posting in there to check. The link is https://community.macmillan.org.uk/cancer_types/bowel-colon-rectum-cancer-forum/ just click on the link and it will take you to that group. I hope you find someone who can help. Bev
Hi Sozza I asked one of or Community Champions in the Bowel Group about your situation. He said to ask you whether it is a total pelvic exenteration where they remove as much as possible ? If so there are quite a a few people on the bowel forum just now who may be able to help. If you let me know I will pass this on to our Community Champ in the Bowel Group and he can tag people in to provide support to you. Bev
