Hello, I'm here as I wonder how to cope with my hubby who has stage 4 thyroid cancer. It was an incidental finding and after being under regular hospital care for something else came out of the blue. It feels that where he is, your not as important as someone who is treatable. If you don't have any symptoms, you don't need anything. I've worked in hospitals  and I've been shocked at the care.

On another note, I'm trying to keep us positive and trying complementary therapies for him to help him. I wonder if anyone has any tips on how you have managed to stay positive and cope in such a horrible situation.

I keep hearing posive stories about those who have used diet to help and keep active and healthy for as long as possible. So looking at that.

I guess I just want to say hello and know that we are not alone in these horrible situations. Thank you.

  • Hi RosieT

    Welcome to the group.

I am sorry that you have not yet had a reply to your post but sometimes it can take a few days for someone who has been in a similar position to see it and respond.

I am sorry to hear of your husbands diagnosis of thyroid cancer and can understand what a worrying time it must be. I am glad you have reached out on here and hope that you find the community as supportive as I have done.

    You are not alone.

Whilst waiting for a reply to your post perhaps consider giving the Support Line a call. I know for may people just being able to talk things through can help. They can also have a look to see if there is any support in your local area. They are there from 8am-8pm daily.

Hopefully someone will see your post now and offer some more specific advice. In the meantime if there is anything you need, then you know where we are.

    Jane
