Finished my 20 sessions yesterday. Up day 17, very little side effects but from the weekend, gone downhill quickly.

  1. From Sunday, bad permanent nausea but it's improved a bit today
  2. Came down with chronic diarrhoea
  3. Had a small bit of food tonight, first since Saturday
  4. Bad cramping when on the toilet started today
  5. Before I left the cancer centre yesterday, I met with the specialist nurse. I might have some infection so a sample was sent off. Results tomorrow
  6. What's still coming out is green and very small
  7. I think it's the treatment, had 2 sessions per day. Prostate bed & my right pelvic area
  8. Just wondering how long it takes to improve. The improvement with the nausea has been a big relief

  • Confirmed today that it's not an infection.

The cramping and contractions on the toilet have been extreme today. Never felt anything like it.

Not having to go as much though  (thankfully Confused

  • Hello

If it gets really bad over the weekend do call 111 for advice. If it's still bothering you on Monday do call your Radiotherapy team to ask for advice.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Things have slowly improved.

    • No diarrhoea anymore
    • Started to eat more regularly and getting my appetite back
    • Drinking normally
    • Still getting the contractions etc when on the toilet though. Not much improvement at all yet
    • Got to do things at a slow pace
    • Treatment finished a week yesterday so all being well,  the improvement picks up the pace
  • Hello
