Anal cancer

Hi, I have just finished having all the scans, CT, PET & MRI. As well as EUA & biopsies on my anus. After finding a raised lymph node in my groin they are almost certain I have anal cancer. The treatment sounds horrendous! I really struggle with pain killers (only found this out after the biopsies) making me constipated. Does anyone know of alternative pain relief?

Any tips going forward would be gratefully received, thank you.

So sorry to read about your problems. The Community has a dedicated group for anal cancer Anal Cancer Forum

The best thing would be to introduce yourself there with this question. Just click on the link I made. As an aside, I was on industrial amounts of morphine for twelve weeks when I had six weeks of radiotherapy for a different cancer and Laxido, taken alongside the morphine and  supplied by the hospital, kept me right.
