Not a medical professional. But been in similar situation. They have seen 000s of scans and know the patterns. So will have a good idea what it is. Although the biopsy will confirm it 100%. I didn't see the consultant until the biopsy. But maybe your cancer is different. Good luck on Tuesday.

Thank you, that makes sense. I'm just doing a "meeting and greet" on Tuesday and then my case will be discussed Tursday I believe. Not sure whether I will get an official diagnosis on Tuesday or not, it's all been a whirlwind.

Having been on my cancer journey for over 26 years (first diagnosed in 1999 at 43) with 4 different cancer types consultants have a very good handle on what to look for and indeed I was told about one of my cancer types before the biopsy results were available.

Once you have a clear diagnosis you can look through this link Cancer Specific Groups where you will find all our dedicated cancer support groups listed.

These groups are safe places to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.

I am coming up to 11 years post my last treatments for my 2 rare types of Lymphomas although the one I was diagnosed with in 1999 is still classed as incurable but it is behaving itself…… even more so as back in n 1999 the median survival rate was set at 3-5 years

My Asbestosis was diagnosed in 2012 and it is also behaving itself and my Prostate Cancer was diagnosed in April past and I am on 6 month Active Surveillance appointments.

But I turned 70 last Oct and I am getting on with life
