My partner had a hemi glossectomy and bilateral neck dissection and flap reconstruction two weeks ago. His tongue cancer diagnosis was quick - diagnosed and had the surgery a week later.
We feel dazed, overwhelmed and really sad and scared. He's come out of hospital and living with me till radiotherapy starts.
He has a feeding tube because he can't swallow and he can't speak well. We're so worried and scared he'll never be able to eat or drink again or speak coherently.
I'm scared about staying strong for him.
Just any advice or what's normal would be gratefully received, I feel very scared and alone and overwhelmed.
