IMy husband was diagnosed with metastatic kidney cancer 4 years ago. He still has had no symptoms of cancer except the 6 days of blood in urine which led to diagnose. He is 76 and still play’s pickleball and badminton every week. He has side effects of nausea , sometimes diarrhoea and sometimes sore feet, for which there are no outward signs anymore and he has cream that sorts it out. My issue is that his behaviour is somewhat bizarre, refusing to do anything to try to avoid the weight loss and pretending he can’t hear- he has hearing aids and I have seen the results of last hearing test and heard audiologist say his loss is mild to moderate except at the extremes of pitch, when t is severe. I’ve considered dementia but he is capable of planning and executing complex arrangements for dinners for 49 or more people and I’m told he is a cunning admin player. I’m trying to find other partners of people with cancer to see if this sort of behaviour is usual and how they cope. He behaves like a toddler when it comes to dinner, in

I have been on my cancer journey with 4 different cancers for over 26 years so not the best person to chat with.
