Where to start? I successfully completed chemo/radiotherapy 6 years ago for SCC on tonsil, but have now developed ORN on the left lower jaw. Have had one procedure to file down the bone 6 weeks ago but appears to have made symptoms worse. Met consultant yesterday who said the next step would be lower jaw replacement/reconstruction but was hesitant to do this due to likely complications from the radio - slow healing, failure. I am meeting with pain management next week as I can’t control the pain with meds that still allow me to function. I have a month to make a decision - hoping somebody has been through similar and is able to share their experience. Feeling a little lost right now.
