I have been diagnosed with DCIS intermediate, I had a lumpectomy 4 weeks ago, 3 margins were clear, ut by nipple not clear. 2 weeks ago removed nipple, I have just seen consultant again but margins are not clear, so I am having a mastectomy next Wednesday. The issue is that with previously diagnosied  with B3 with atypia which is now cancer.

They are unable to see on the mammogram  any other  microclacifications except for it has been previously removed. Do you know if this is common as worried in case it has gone into ky lymph nodes, which a sential biopsy will be performed during mastectomy surgery.

Thanks in advance.
