Hi, I'm SusanK and 76 years old with first time breast cancer. But the real reason I'm here now is skin cancer. I have had several biopsies and removals. But now I have a reoccurrence of something on the tip of my nose and they want to do a punch biopsy. A close friend of mine, who has had multiple skin cancers, tells me that their doctors will not do a punch biopsy on the face. I need more info about this procedure because I have never had it. Since I'm new here. I don't know my way around yet. If there is already a conversation about this, please show me the way. Scrolled down and I might find my own way. Thank you.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I've had various lesions removed and biopsied over the years but don't have any experience with a punch biopsy.

The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join us over in the skin cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who have had nose biopsies.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

    Wishing you all the best.
