Hi.
Diagnosed with NPC stage 2 yesterday. All a bit bewildering so far. I have had symptoms since January of this year and it's taken quite some time to get a diagnosis. Be nice to converse with others wherever they are on this journey.
I would really like to know from other people's experience with respect to losing their hearing with NPC and whether they used Apple Airpods Pro 3 as an aid to hearing please?
Thank you
Hi REM_fan_UK and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I'm sorry to read that you're cancer is causing hearing loss.
The online community is divided into different support groups and I can see that you've already joined and posted in the head and neck cancer group, which is a great place to connect directly with others who have the same type of cancer as you. I'm sure you'll soon get replies from the group members there.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
All the best for today
