My father has been diagnosed with advanced prostrate cancer which has gone to his bones,he will be starting a course of radiotherapy and chemotherapy,he is 81 and has been told the treatment will be harsh and will have to go every day,he will have to make his own way to north mid hospital which is about 35 miles away,can he get transport?

The advice from Bungle1 regarding transport is spot on - our hospital group do provide transport BUT you need to book it well in advance of your appointment.
Don't forget there's also our Support Line for you on 0808 808 00 00 (8am to 8pm 7 days a week).
