Hi everyone, I am new to the community and just wanted say hello. I am getting ready to start my chemotherapy journey soon. To be completely honest, I am still shocked and scared about it all right now.
It's been over a month since I got the breast cancer news and still trying to unravel it all.

  • Hi

Welcome to the forums, although I'm sorry you have found yourself here. The forum is split into different sections by cancer type or experience, i see you have joined the breast cancer one, if you post there you will be able to chat with people going through the same as you.

My cancer was different to yours but I have found my section very supportive and helpful for advice or just unloading. Have even made some new friends from it.

Once you start your treatment you will feel more in control,I know I did.

    Sending hugs. Xxx

  • Hi I am new to the community as well. I was diagnosed with Myeloma last June and I am now in remission.  I am doing really well and going on my first holiday (UK) on Monday.

The last year has went by in a blur and it’s only now I think that it has hit me. Believe it or not I am sleeping less than I did. Wondering if this is normal? I started with a plan to get through this last year and I am not sure what my plan should look like moving forward. I am a planner so this is a biggie for me.

  • Hi  Welcome to the forum. Brilliant news that you are in remission. I think people often get hit as such after treatment as that is when you process, at the time you are on auto pilot with appointments scans treatment etc just going day by day. I have no idea about the sleep, I found I needed more but this is slowly getting nearer my normal. Plan whatever you want, maybe something you've always wanted to do but haven't for whatever reason. Sending hugs. Xx
