Hi, my very close friend recently passed away with pancreatic cancer.
He was unable to have Whipples procedure ? reason but at same time he was replumbed so he could eat. He lived for 15 months after Chemo but all of this has been very difficult.
All cancers are difficult but there needs to be done to help people with pancreatic cancer.

I have been on my cancer journey for over 26 years with two very rare, hard to treat types of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphomas (one incurable), Asbestosis and Prostate Cancer and I am very fortunate that we always have been able to find the next treatment…… but as you say some types of cancer has less treatments available.
but developments are being made…. When I was first diagnosed in 1999 with my first Lymphoma the then median survival was set at 3-5 years….. but thankfully treatments kept out running this time frame.
The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) and if you feel it would benign you talking with others who are dealing with the loss of a friend you can look to join and post in our dedicated…….
