Hello Bryan (Goodguy),
A warm welcome to the Macmillan online Community, although I'm very sorry you have the need to join.
Receiving a lung cancer diagnosis is indeed terrifying and I still vividly remember receiving my diagnosis almost 14 years ago on 10th June 2024.
This is the worst time for you while you wait for confirmation of treatment options. All I can say is try to keep busy and disract yourself before seeing your consultant. There are now many successful lung cancer treatments available, some of which were not available when I was diagnosed, and these have significantly improved outcomes.
Can I suggest that you join our specific lung cancer forum and repost your your questions there, where others who have experienced the same issues will reply to offer help and advice.
All the best for now Bryan,
Derek.
