Hi all, I am new to the site and have joined because my husband has just been diagnosed with a glioblastoma. It has taken about 6 weeks to get to diagnosis as he initially had a seizure and fell outdoors near our home. He wasn't found for 90 mins + when our neighbour came home early from work. He was hypothermic with a head injury and signs of a heart attack. After 5 days in hospital, he was allowed to come home, he was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy but nothing seen on ct scan. 3 weeks later, I came home to find thst he couldn't really talk or understand me. An immediate trip to A and E at our local hospital led to 2 further ct scans and an mri. After a further 10 days in hospital on steroids, we've been told he has a glioblastoma. I'm hoping to get help and knowledge of how to support him going forward, but also to know that I'm not alone, trying to manage my feelings while remaining strong for our family.
