Hi, my daughter had breast cancer, she had a mastectomy, chemo and then radiotherapy. She has been told she could be going into menopause, but at the moment she is having extremely heavy periods for 2 weeks at a time. Since finishing her treatment she has gained a large amount of weight. She does not over eat and she is doing loads of exercise but every week another couple of kilos goes on. Doctors are saying she can’t have HRT treatment and are offering no solution to the weight gain. Does anyone have any ideas or solutions? Many thanks.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I'm sorry to read that your daughter is struggling with her weight since finishing her treatment for breast cancer.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who have the same type of cancer as your daughter and who may have had a similar experience.

It would be great if you could put something about your daughter's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway.
