Good Morning,
I have just joined and am finding I need a bit of support.I have breast cancer that has spread to my lymph nodes, having completed chemotherapy it has thankfully shrunk the cancer so am now able to have surgery.
I am waiting for an appointment to have a mastectomy, reduction of left breast and removal of the lymph nodes. I am a bit stressed worrying about what to expect and trying to prepare everything. Can anyone just advise how bad is the pain afterwards. Also I’ve ordered a v pillow is there anything else that I really need?
Thank you
Carp
Hello Carp,
A warm welcome to the online community although I'm very sorry you have the need to join.
The community comprises numerous cancer specific groups and I'm going to suggest you repost your questions on the breast cancer forum where members will be able to discuss based on their own experiences of treatment.
I've included a link to this below.
My best wishes for successful treatment,
Derek.
