Hi all

my cancer treatment finished mid January 2026 [chemo & radiotheraply].

my Nails have been discoloured for few months, now one is about to come off, other 2 look as though they will follow suit.

converned all nails from both hands will fall off.

Saw a product POLYBALM - has anyone used this, your thoughts or any suggestions woud be appreciated.

  • Thank you for reply. I had EC & Doxetall chemo drugs, wasn't advised re nails, told nurses/consultant re discolouration of nails and they said chemo side effects and nails may fall off & to avoid infection, keep it covered and clean.

4 weeks after chemo finished the nail issue arised: noticed slowly coming off nail bed - still intact on one side, i can see same happening with rest.

told to keep cuticles and sides of nail/skin moisturised. just happen to see Polybalm on internet and wondered whether to try it out.

happy to hear you had no major issues. kind regards

  • worth a try, hope ok, the nail polish i think helps keep moisture in too, i had ac and taxoland kept my hands out of the sun, i would say may as well try
