My usually loving and caring husband has recently changed towards me. We've been married 22 years and have a beautiful daughter together. I've been fighting cancer on and off for 3 years. He recently started messaging another woman for emotional support and fun, as in his words it's a release. He told me he's tired of cancer, feeling like a carer and doesn't find me attractive anymore as cancer made me lose weight. I'm devastated and he said he still loves me, but can't leave because of our daughter. I'm so hurt, scared and angry. We had a brilliant life until 4 months ago.
Hi Rachel1982
Welcome to our community, I hope you find it both informative and supportive.
Sorry to read your story, I have seen a number of cases on here where cancer has pushed people apart and it seems so harsh. There are a load of feelings carers can feel that we can see in your feelings when someone has cancer and they can be tricky to understand.
I wonder if it might be worth talking to a relationship councilor.
<<hugs>>
Steve
