Hello. My long distance best friend has stage 4 breast cancer, diagnosed 3 years ago. I arrived home yesterday from across the Atlantic having spent past two weeks with her (hadn't seen her in 2 years). Yesterday she took her husband to get results for a biopsy he had done and he has been told he has aggressive prostate cancer. They are both in shock as am I. I dont know what I can do to support her, being so far away. Thanks for taking time to read x
Hi Muzz and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I really appreciated the support I got from my friends when I was going through cancer.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the family and friends group as you'll then connect directly with others who are supporting someone living with cancer.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
Wishing you and your friend all the bestWhatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
