  • Hi Lyndana

It’s Wayne here from Macmillan’s Online Community team. I’d like to offer you a warm welcome to the site and to the community. I saw your post and wanted to offer some support whilst you are waiting for other group members to reply.

It’s lovely to hear that you would like to donate your wigs to support people living with cancer. Wigs (and other items) cannot be donated to members on the site. We would recommend getting in touch with your local Macmillan information and support centre to see if they can assist you with this. You can enter your postcode on the cancer care map to discover a range of nearby support options from cancer care local providers, including Macmillan. Alternatively, there are a couple of different charities which do take wig donations, which I have listed below for you:

Please remember that Macmillan is here to support anyone affected by cancer. If you are in need of some support, the Cancer Support Advisors and Nurses on the Macmillan Support Line are there to offer practical, emotional and financial support. They’re available 7 days a week, 8am-8pm on freephone 0808 808 00 00email or live webchat. You can also post a question in our Ask an Expert section.

I hope this all makes sense, but if you do need any further support please don’t hesitate to drop us a PM or an email at community@macmillan.org.uk.

    Best Wishes,

    Wayne
