I have Stage III melanoma and have had surgery and WLE. Pembrolizumab is recommended and I am approaching the deadline to start. I had thought I would decline pembrolizumab b/c of multiple comorbidities, but I am giving it one more look. One of my concerning medical conditions is Palindromic Rheumatism (an autoimmune condition) and I would think this would make me more susceptible to the "joint pain" side effect some mention. Flares are random but debilitating when they occur. I also have multiple lung and GI and skin conditions and SIADH.
Does anyone have experience with pembrolizumab with preexisting autoimmune conditions or Lupus? I am 82 years old and not sure I am willing to make my life harder just to stay around a little longer.
Hi Marty
I have just replied to your other post in New to the Community answering your question about how to post in the melanoma group.
If you'd like I can ask the site moderators to move this post from here to the melanoma group for you to save you typing it out there again.
