melanoma and keytruda

I added (perhaps too much!) information to my profile to explain my melanoma diagnosis and my fear of Keytruda in case that helps anyone come up with advice for me.

Just "trying it to see what happens" as one doctor suggests seems a bit dangerous given my multiple medical conditions.

In spite of my medical laundry list, I am still mobile and functional and living independently and successfully.  I would like to continue my current level of functioning until I cannot.

  • Hi again

Please do join and post in the melanoma group, which I signposted you to yesterday, as you'll then connect directly with others who are having Keytruda to treat melanoma.

To join the group click on the green wording 'melanoma group' in the paragraph above and then click on the black banner at the bottom of the page that opens to join the group. Once you've joined you can then start a new post in the same way as you did here.

If you need any further help navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.

  • How do I read what was mentioned and how do I post a question? I posted a question yesterday and have a notification that I "was mentioned," but I don't know if that is a new answer. I'm not sure I'm going to the right place and I have anew question.

  • Hi

To post a question in the melanoma group you need to first go to that group. You can do that one of two ways. Either:

    • click on your username, then select 'profile', then 'groups', then 'melanoma'

    or

    • go to the online community homepage and then select 'melanoma' under your heading 'your most active groups' or 'your top forums' depending on what type of device you're using.

Then to start a new post select 'Create new post', which you should see towards the top of your screen.

To read my reply to your previous post:

    • click on your username, then select 'profile', then 'activity' and this will show your posts and any replies you've had.

The notification that says "you were mentioned" was because I have replied to you. You will get another one once I hit 'reply' to alert you that you've had a reply.
