Hello, my mother recently had operation for mouth cancer. She had section of lower jaw removed with a plate put in. She is now at the stage for new bottom dentures but has been told she can only have half set due to missing part of jaw bone. I am interested to hear from anyone else who has had this and the options available for having full bottom set of dentures.

If you put your post on Head and Neck Cancer Forum (just click on the link) you should get an answer fairly quickly. There are a few folk there who have gone through a mandibulectomy. They should help.
