Can anyone help, I had a kidney removed because of cancer 2 years ago and a tumour in the bladder removed within the last few months I cannot get travel insurance unless I want to pay £19775. Even though I’m clear of cancer now, I am having Immunotherapy to help stop it coming back. Is there anyone out there that knows any insurance company that ca help and not so expensive
Hello PatM
We do have a dedicated group on the Community for Travel Insurance and here's the link you need:

Once you click on the link and thr page opens up you will be able to see advice other community members have been giving and the questions being asked.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi PatM and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and having had cancer twice, I know how tricky getting affordable travel insurance can be.
As my friend Brian has said the best place to look for affordable travel insurance is over in the travel insurance group. Once you've joined have a look through the threads there called Members recommended travel insurance and Recommended Travel Insurance, which you'll find on the first page. They are full of recommendations from other cancer patients who have got travel insurance.
I hope you're able to get some reasonably priced travel insurance and have some lovely holidays.
Hello Pat,
There’s a company called Insurewith, I heard the lady CEO being interviewed on Women’s Hour a few years ago, and she herself was in a similar position with unaffordable travel insurance so started her own company! Her view is that people who are undergoing treatment or in the care of medical teams for serious illnesses, are very well looked after and closely monitored, that their ‘risk’ level is in fact, low.
I’m not sure if she’s still running the company but it would be worth checking the website out.
I hope you get sorted, it’s so very frustrating and unfair! Good luck Pat.
Hello PatM ,
I think you might find the company suggested by Maryjo is called Insurancewith rather than Insurewith.
I'd also suggest you try albert & eddie which is a comparison site owned by the same company as the one which ons Insurancewith. That will open up a couple more insurers without repeatedly re-keying your information. If you have any doubts at all about the medical answers you give I suggest you 'phone to make sure before proceding.
I do hope you can get something sensible.
Derek.

Hello. When I contacted Insurewith when I was being investigated for cancer, I was told that they couldn’t insure me, but to contact them again if and when I finished my treatment. Radiotherapy finished in Dec 25 & when I contacted them in Jan 26 I was told to go back to them when I got the results of my treatment because they couldn’t insure me until I got the results!
Before I knew there was even a possibility of me having cancer, my daughter & I had booked a cruise in Jul 26 and we had paid approx half the cost. My travel insurance was due for renewal in Sept 25 so I had intended to automatically renew it. If I can’t get insurance cover this will cost will be lost.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
