I have severe constipation following EC chemo for breast cancer. I’ve been given laxative powder and lactulose but no advice re what the difference between the two is or any other ideas to help. Constipation so bad that it made me faint. I drink lots of water and eat all the good stuff. Any advice?
The powder worked for me, nothing else did. It was so bad I had 8 sachets in 6 hours following my chemo sessions!
lactolose as I understand it absorbs liquid from your diet to soften. It may be worth talking to your team as I was offered an enema. Hence the six sachets
