Not one for posting on social media, recent diagnosis made me change my mind.
I have been recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer - Adenocarcinoma. It has metastasised into my lymph nodes and liver. I have my first appointment with the oncologist next week and approaching it with trepidation but also with the mindset of problem solving.
I feel physically and mentally fit (so far) and at some point want to help others but as everyone tells me one step at a time, and I must focus on my health before embarking on new ideas.
Not expecting any replies but just wanted to jot a few words down by way of starting the journey.
Hi Apollo
Welcome to our community, I hope you find it both informative and supportive.
This New to the Community forum is a bit like our welcome mat where most of the community is more themed on different types of cancer and different experiences. You might like to look at our Lung cancer forum but also perhaps Cancer chat forum.
Do post whenever as someone is always listening but if you find you would like a more instant touch you are of course welcome to ring the helpline here too.
<<hugs>>
Steve
