Hi all, new to this site in the hope that someone may have the same issue I do. I had Elape surgery 18 months ago and all is good(apart from a recent MRI showing a presumed recurrence of rectal cancer?)
I recently did some decorating at home, the most physical work post op and I think I may have overstretched and a am now in unbearable pain. The wound feels as if it has hardened up and is solid to touch so just wondering if anyone out there may have done the same thing and if so will it settle back down or should I contact my colorectal team for advice?

I'm sorry you find yourself in this condition which sounds very unpleasant.
I'm afraid I don't have the medical knowledge to answer your question but if it was me I'd contact the colorectal team as soon as possible for specialist advice, just in case it needs attention.
