Hi All,
I hope everyone is doing as ok as possible.
I was undergoing some tests for possible breast cancer a few weeks ago (thankfully, tests so far have come back without anything concerning to show) and as part of that they did a breast MRI. Unfortunately, this showed a tumour between my heart and lungs. The doctors have told me that they believe it could be a thymoma but as they are not specialists, they can't say for certain. I have been referred on to the more specialist team but have yet to have an appointment with them. They did refer me for a chest MRI which I had on Friday.
I'm just really struggling with believing that there actually is a tumour there and I just wondered if anyone else had a similar experience? I still keep thinking they're going to tell me that they've got it wrong.
Hi BK1989f2e50b
I would have said its your way of protecting yourself. When i was having tests and scans for my cancer i was convinced they were making a fuss about nothing and they would come back clear, so was shocked when they didnt. Now ive had treatment and had the all clear and worry theyve got that wrong. Cancer messes with your head. Good luck with everything. Xx
