I’ve just finished 5 weeks of chemo and radiotherapy, and have 3 brachytherapy treatments coming up this week and next week.
I’m extremely nervous and worried about the brachytherapy and what to expect, especially as I’ve never had general anaesthetic before!
Can anyone please offer any advice or explain what they experienced?
Hi Kk89698db3 and welcome to the Community.
I notice that you haven’t mentioned which cancer you have, or joined any groups yet, and as brachytherapy can be a treatment for more than one type of cancer, if you let me know which cancer you have I’ll be happy to link you to the most appropriate support group to ask your questions of other members who will have experienced the same.

Hi. Sorry I thought I’d put, it’s stage 2a cervical cancer
Hi again, and thank you.
I’ve been through cervical cancer myself-stage 2b-so I’ll give you the link to our group. Clicking on the link will take you to the group, and you can join and put up a new post to introduce yourself and connect with others.
Lots of the ladies in the group have been through the same treatment and will be able to give you some support and advice, so I’ll look forward to seeing you there!
