Hi my name is Nikki. I was diagnosed in June waith stage 3 breast cancer. I started chemotherapy and had 4 cycles of EC and now started Docetaxel which will be 4 cycles as well.So I am 5 cycles of 8.
I have become so emotional and short tempered with everything and everyone. I dont have the motivation to dral with people or even talk on the phone any more. I feel like i am withdrawing into someone i am not as a way of protecting myself.
Everyone thinks i am strong and i am getting through this chemo better than they expected, but i dont feel that way. I had Covid, tonsillitis and urine infection since i stared this treatment. So its a struggle even though i dont look like what i am going through. Thats what i keep getting told. I dint think they understand the mental effect this has on a person.
Guys any advice or if anyone has similar issues please share thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer and that you have been struggling. What you are feeling is perfectly natural, having cancer can be tough on the mind and body.
I suggest that you join the Breast Cancer Forum as you will get plenty of support there from people who understand what's it's like having Breast Cancer. Here's the link to that forum: Breast cancer forum .It's a very busy forum so usually there is someone on there nearly all the time.
Would you consider counselling? If you would you could ring the helpline on 0808 808 0000 to talk to someone and they'll be able to arrange counselling for you if you'd like. Also if you have a Maggie's Centre or another cancer centre near you, why not call in or give them a ring to talk to someone who understands.
