Hi. I had a hysteroscopy two weeks ago. I'm 57 and had an early earlyish menopause. My surgeon told me that what he found was a mess. I had a nasty infection, the lower two thirds of my womb was abnormal and there is also a mass. He scraped out as much he could but it is looking very concerning. I also had an MRI within a week. Does this mean that I have cancer or not? Yhe wait is interminable as I'm sure you all have experienced. I can not function at all. My head is full and distracted constantly.
Hi Gert3f7768 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and although I've had cancer it hasn't been a gynaecological one.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the womb cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who have had the same type of investigations as you.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
Wishing you all the best
