I used to be part of the endometrial cancer online forum. I had successful surgery in Feb 2023 and didn't need any adjunct therapy other than 6 sessions of brachytherapy - just in case! I had deleted any past correspondence I had with MacMillan as, after more than 2 years had no reason to suspect I wasn't better!
On a routine monitoring scan of an incidental renal cyst. a lesion was noted on my spleen. I was sent for a PET with CT scan and was told last week that I had 2x metastatic lesions - one in my spleen and a lymph node.
I will be seeing an oncologist this week as I will have to have chemo. I am very scared. Especially as I have been feeling very well recently and had no idea about what is about to happen. I thank god that I had the routine scan which picked it up as I may have waited years before I became symptomatic. Family and friends are also finding it difficult when I seem so well yet I'm telling them that in a few weeks I'll be feeling totally poo.
I'm feeling terrified and in an unusual situation. Needed to share!
Hi Rosiexsam
Being told that you now need chemotherapy can be a scary thought and it's natural that you want to reconnect.
Although you've said that you've deleted all your previous correspondence here, I've had a quick look and it does look like it's still here. If you click on your username and then 'activity' you'll be able to see it.
