Hi Everyone

My dad was diagnosed a while ago with PC. I think he must have been late 60's . Apparently this makes me twice as likely to get the disease. Does anyone have any info on whether the risk is lower if it was a relatively late diagnosis (late as in his age). No other family members have it as far as I'm aware. I am 39

  • Hi  sorry to hear about your dad.

I have no idea if you are twice as likely to get the disease……. Talking with experts is the best way to get accurate information so have a chat with your GP

You could call the Macmillan Support Line is open between 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00…… this service provides cancer information.
