Hi,
I am new to the forum and hoping to chat, help, support (reciprocated) to help through the toughest times.
Was diagnosed on the 7th August and been a whirlwind 5 weeks! The diagnosis was given to me during horrendous personal circumstances so I am struggling to comprehend anything at the moment.
Hi Ben 88883be959 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I know what it's like to be given a cancer diagnosis.
The online community is divided into different support groups, but as you haven't said what type of cancer you've been diagnosed with, I can't give you a direct link to the right group. You could either let me know, and I'll then give you the link, or take a look through this list and join the appropriate group.
Once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
