Hi all, as a newbie I thought I’d better (briefly) introduce myself… I was diagnosed with rectal cancer in January after a brief chat with a lovely lady on the bowel screening helpline. Six weeks later, after a colonoscopy, CT and MRI scans I was referred for five days radiotherapy followed by an abdominal perineal resection at the end of March. I can now no longer be accused of talking out of my arse. Fabulous service from my local NHS and the Rosemere Centre, I really can’t thank them enough for their warmth, friendly and professional approach. Now on the mend but get a bit down in the dumps now and then… a quick weep sometimes helps. Anyway, that’s enough for now, 2 year old grandson due any minute… now, where’s the jelly babies?
