Hi

I'm new to the forum and am hoping that someone has some useful advice

I had my prostate removed and then had a BCR so had radiotherapy last November

Since then my bowel movements have been all over the place and there have been occasions when there has been blood in my stool

So my question is there anything I can do to reduce / stop the symptoms

  • Hello

A warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community although I am so sorry to find you here. I am Brian, one of the Community Champions here at Macmillan.

The online Community is divided up into cancer specific groups or chat rooms and I would advise you to join the Prostate Cancer group - here's the link you need:

    Prostate cancer forum

Once the page opens up, click on join on the black banner at the bottom of the page. Once you have joined the group why not introduce yourself in the "New Here - say Hello" section. You can copy and paste or repost your post above.

I am sure you will have many helpful replies as I am a member of that group being in my 4th year of my personal prostate cancer journey.

I look forward to "meeting" you again in our part of the Community.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi

I had a different cancer, but I was treated with radiotherapy and messed up bowel movements are an issue that some end up with. Quite a few people in my forum who had issues started following the Fodmap diet and it helped them. Don't know if that's any help or not. X
