Hi I just wanted to talk with people who may understand how I feel.
Last year I had to have a hysterectomy due to a mass which thankfully wasent cancer I felt very lucky then in January my eyelid got a sty and by April it had eaten most my bottom eyelid. I was seen quickly and had surgery and reconstruction but turned out to be more advanced and I had to have a second surgery the week after.
This was all 3 weeks ago and am still waiting on new biopsie results but I just have a really bad feeling as am tired all the time and I still have 2 weeks to wait till result and seeing consultant.
I can't rest so gone back to work but am struggling.
I guess am wrighting this as I've not told anyone eles am worried as I feel silly but hoping you guys understand how am feeling. My life's been upside down these 12 months.
Hi Loualla81 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I've had a couple of BCCs removed in the past although not from my eyelid.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join us over in the skin cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who have the same operation and diagnosis as you.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
