Hi my daughter has just started treatment for triple negative breast cancer. She is feeling sick and not enjoying food. She also has an upset stomach today. I am struggling with finding things for her to eat so would be really grateful for any tips. Thank you so much.

  • Hi   and a warm welcome to the Macmillan Community but so sorry to hear about your daughters diagnosis.

Feeling sick and having an upset stomach often happens. She should be talking with her clinical team as there are a number of different types of anti-sickness meds and sometimes it takes time to find the right one...... and they can prescribe meds to help her upset stomach.

Not enjoying food is one unfortunate challenges....... but at the moment it's all about getting fuel into her body as she needs this to have the energy to go through treatment...... enjoying food will return.

Getting support from others who are dealing with the ‘exact same' support challenges can help you a lot..... my journey is completely different.

The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend you look to join and post in our…….
