I have my results appointment soon. Hate this waiting…. Getting to grips with the forum, consult said at the time on the mammogram results that it was being classed as a serious risk, that it’s in the lymph node but need the tests to confirm.
No idea what to expect….. I’m hoping it’s wrong and it’s actually a cyst!!! I’m flipping between worry, denial, almost acceptance & ready to fight it and then teary eyes and really sad.
The range of emotions is really hard,
Hi,
Good morning, just writing to wish you the best outcome tomorrow :)
I feel like you, a range of emotions just as you described, one minute I've accepted it and I'm reading about treatments, the next I'm googling what else it could be and hoping I'll be the lucky one on Tuesday. I'm not crying that much but I feel sad and a bit sorry for myself. I'm not telling anyone apart from my Mum and partner (and nice people on here!) until after my results appointment as I don't know what to say yet.
I didn't know anything much before 12 June so I'm on here a lot reading about people's experiences as generally it's always made me feel better. I'm so glad I found this site and whatever happens tomorrow, I think this is a good place to come to say how you're feeling, there's always someone nice on here plus you can chat to the advisors if you don't feel like a public post.
Wishing you a peaceful Sunday
Hi Recoveryaa12 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I know how hard waiting for results and then going to the appointment can be.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who are waiting for their mammogram results.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
I'll be keeping everything crossed for good results from your appointment.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
