Hi all!
I’m circuitbreaker!
I am brand new but had the strangest of cancers. Effectively it was a skin cancer the size of a lemon.
it’s been removed successfully, but goodness this has kicked the daylights out of me!!
regards
CB
Hi Circuitbreaker and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I've been treated for two different types of skin cancer so know the relief when it's been successfully removed.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join either the melanoma group, if your cancer was a melanoma, or the skin cancer group, if it was any other type, as you'll then connect directly with others who have/had the same type of cancer as you.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Hi!
no, i may have landed a rare Proliferating Trichellemal Tumour.
why go standard when you go all out wierd???
probably why I feel disconnected from the whole thing!
i will look those up, so thank you! X
I have to admit that I've never come across a proliferating trichellemal tumour before.
The skin cancer group would be the better of the two groups I've mentioned to post in about this type of tumour.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
