Hi all.
Hope everyone is as OK as ok can be!!.
I am currently awaiting further investigations for Lung Cancer, all this came about after me experiencing excruciating pain in my ear. After bloods which showed my infection markers were close to 300 and a chest xray showing something up in the right lung.
I am now on this 2ww journey, the Dr at RMT thinks infection however I've still gotta go through all of these tests. I've had my CT scan now awaiting a Lung Function Test, my platelets are also up and over 600 at my last blood test.
I just feel like everything is pointing to cancer and I'm absolutely scared not for me but for my child and what will happen to him as I'm a lone parent.
Not quite sure what I'm meant to write of if anything makes sense.
Hi BumbleBee15 welcome to the online community, but sorry you find yourself here. I know how scary all of this is for you, so many tests you have to have, and waiting for the results which seem to take forever.
The online community is made up of groups, and I am the community champ for the Lung cancer forum if you click on the link it will take you directly to the group. You will find lots of support there from people who do have lung cancer, and also some people who are in the early testing stages like yourself. Please do come over and say hello there, you can copy your post from here if you like, I know you will be made very welcome.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
