Diagnosed with stage 4 endometrial cancer! Had complete hysterectomy 14 years ago but seems some endometriosis was left. It’s attached itself to my stomach wall and bladder possibly intestine, but haven’t had results from pet scan yet. Start chemo tomorrow, possibly immunotherapy as well next session if I tolerate it ok. I’m very scared, I don’t know if I can do this.
Hi Lindyloo_ and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and although I've had different cancer diagnoses to you I know how scared you're probably feeling right now.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the womb cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who have the same type of cancer as you.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
All the best for today
Hi !
Ive been diagnosed with stage four b endometrial cancer.
i had a radical hysterectomy 17 years ago. The tumour is growing on my stomach lining, can’t be surgically removed, possibly on bladder and intestines. Still waiting results of pet scan.
First chemo 3 days ago. In a lot of discomfort as I cannot poo! Tried everything including Dena and sachets, lots of water, vegetables, fruit!
Been awake most of the night, with discomfort and night sweats!Help !
Hi all !
I have stage 4 endometrial cancer, despite having a total hysterectomy 16 years ago. Cancer in stomach wall, intestine and bladder.Had first chemotherapy June 2nd will now ave chemo/immunotherapy combined!
Anyone else have chronic constipation?
what can I expect differently with combination?
Lyndylou
I'm sorry to read the side effects you're having since having chemotherapy Lindyloo_ . Fortunately for me this wasn't something I experienced so can't help with any shared experience.
When I was going through chemo I was given a 24 hour phone number for the chemo unit so that I could contact them if I was suffering side effects. You should have been too, so my best advice would be to call it straight away so that they can help.
You might also find joining the group I linked you to in my last reply helpful, as you'll then connect directly with others on the same type of chemo as you.
I hope you can get help to sort these side effects out.
((hugs))
Thank you! Thought I had joined the group
I phoned yesterday advised more laxatives, nothing yet
