I have recently had an mri scan for what I had been diagnosed as by GP surgery a trapped nerve presenting as pins and needles in my arm and numbness in my fingers, however results show many lesions to first 12 vertebrae (the only ones scanned).
i have since had CT scan and more mri scans to all the spine and I am waiting for nuclear bone scan next month to be followed up with consultation with oncologist.
Very unfortunately I have had this misdiagnosis for 15 months after returning to GP and being given anti inflammatories then being referred to a physiotherapist for hand exercises.
I had no idea this is red flag for secondary breast cancer. I had primary breast cancer 5 years ago.
i am now experiencing pain is my spine and ribs and neck.
i have still to wait another 3 weeks to see the oncologist with results of scans. Although diagnosed cancer is still spreading.
i fear that as it has been left untreated for what will be almost 18 months it will be too late for anything.
I’m having to take sleeping tablets and am finding it very difficult.
